Shadows
What long has been hid in the shadows,
Let us now bring forth into the light.
We once again share among ourselves,
Old secrets of darkness and night.
Long our existence was cloaked with Magick,
Our meetings within forest deep.
To be counted among us meant danger,
Much secretive counsel we'd keep.
A chance word could mean accusation,
Which ususlly brought torture and pain.
Imprisoned, being made an example,
Our loved ones we'd not see again.
We hid all the lore deep inside us,
After long years we almost forgot.
But the Goddess was guiding our footsteps,
To remind what the Olde Wayes had wrought.
A new day of freedom is dawning,
There's changes blowing in on the Wind. |
